One of the very first business books we ever read was "Rich Dad Poor Dad", like it or hate it, it seems like half the guests we bring on the show say that book was pivotal in forming their thinking about money. There is a reason for that. The ideas are foundational. It changes the way you think about money. Assets versus liabilities. Building something that pays you instead of something that drains you.
That simple shift opened our eyes and set us on a different path. Another book is "Good to Great". That one taught us about leadership, about running companies with discipline, about building teams and culture that last. Both of those books gave us frameworks that still guide us today.
But if we had to pick one. It would be Rich Dad Poor Dad. Because it is where the mindset begins. Without that foundation, the rest does not hold. You cannot scale greatness if you do not first understand money.
