Every asset in my portfolio has one primary role, and that changed the way I invest.
Private credit, real estate, and oil and gas each have a different job in my portfolio.
Private credit is my income specialist. It provides steady cash flow, offers better liquidity, and sits in a safer position than equity.
Real estate is my foundation. Its main role is long term growth, and it remains the largest allocation in my portfolio.
Oil and gas is my tax engine. It provides some of the strongest deductions available, along with strong early cash flow. It also comes with more risk, which is why I keep it to a controlled allocation.
I do not expect one investment to do everything.
Instead, I let each asset class focus on the job it does best.
That approach helps create a portfolio built for growth, income, and tax efficiency without relying on a single investment to carry the entire load.
Does every investment in your portfolio have a clear purpose?
