Great founders do not stay the hero forever. They design freedom.
A real builder creates something that eventually does not need them.
Think about great parenting.
Success is not raising kids who live with you until they are 35.
Success is raising them to be dependent for a season.
Protected.
Guided.
Developed.
And then progressively independent.
Your business is no different.
In the beginning, it should depend on you.
Your vision.
Your energy.
Your direction.
But if years later it still cannot function without you, you did not build a company.
You built long term dependency.
Leadership is not staying essential.
Leadership is making yourself less necessary over time.
If you want something durable, build it to stand on its own.
